Happy Monday, Babes! This past weekend the girls and I went to Chicago with my friend Sarah and her boys and we had the BEST weekend. We took the kids to the Shedd Aquarium in downtown Chicago and the girls loved it! I’ll be doing a whole blog post and sharing more photos from our time there but if you follow my on Instagram you know it was such a cool experience. The girls even got to touch a Beluga Whale and play with a penguin! So much fun. We stayed at The Gwen Hotel which is my favorite hotel in downtown Chicago. It’s gorgeous and so convenient because it’s right off of Michigan and close to everything. Not to mention it’s connected to Nordstrom (goals, lol). On Saturday we explored Chicago and went to the cutest little donut shop EVER and got donut milkshakes…yes, they were amazing. Then we walked around and explored for a bit and went to Pizzeria Uno for lunch. They have the most amazing Chicago-style pizza!! If you’re ever in Chicago you have to check it out.
Like I mentioned before, one of the reasons I love staying at The Gwen hotel when we’re in Chicago is because it’s literally connected to Nordstrom. You guys already know how much I love Nordstrom and how I pretty much shop there on a weekly basis. They are just such an amazing company overall and you can’t beat their amazing service and return policy! The weather right now in Indy is somewhere between light jacket/sweater weather and t-shirt weather so this light-weight fringe sweater I found at Nordstrom couldn’t be more perfect. I kind of have an obsession with cream sweaters and probably own more than I’d like to admit but I LOVE the fringe detailing on this one. I’m wearing a size small for reference. I paired it with boyfriend jeans (the pair pictured is sold out now so I’m linking this pair that are super similar) and these simple nude heels. I love outfits like this because they are timeless and the boyfriend jeans add a cute edge. I would also rock this look with my white Nikes or Adidas all-stars for a more weekend-friendly look.
Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
