Happy Thursday, Babes! We are back from traveling for Fall break and getting back into the swing of things this week! It has been a while since I’ve posted, I intended on blogging a little while we were in Utah and Hawaii and even took my laptop with me but of course that didn’t happen. It was just so nice taking it easy and enjoying our time together. We had the best time visiting Darek’s family in Utah over the break and the girls had a blast hanging out with their cousins and their Memaw and Pepaw! Of course, Maui was amazing too! It was the first time Darek and I have gone on a trip alone in 2 years and it was so nice to get some alone time! The weather was amazing and we had so much fun. We hiked to a blowhole, snorkeled with sea turtles, ate waaaay too much amazing food, and just relaxed. It was a perfect get-away. If you’ve never been to Maui I would definitely recommend going! It’s so gorgeous and peaceful.
We had such a fun Fall break but it’s so nice to be back home and getting back in our everyday routine. Fall is definitely in full swing here in Indy. The high was 50 yesterday so we’re definitely not in Hawaii anymore! The girls and I bundled up in our favorite Fall pieces from Nordstrom and had a little hot chocolate date last night. I always get a lot of questions from y’all asking where I get the girls outfits and Nordstrom is definitely one of the main places I love to shop for them. I actually love shopping for Brynleigh and Brielle more than myself! I always loved dressing up my dolls when I was little so it’s pretty much the same thing only a million times better LOL. I love that Nordstrom carries all of my favorite go-to Kids’ brands and I know the pieces are high quality/will last through the wear and tear of a four and six year old. The little girls’ section is SO adorable and always on-trend. When I’m picking out outfits for the girls I like to focus mainly on buying neutral pieces like this adorable hooded dress. I also have fun mixing in bright colors and prints (the girls love to help pick out pieces too) but I will usually balance a bright sweater or fun printed legging with a more neutral top or dark jeans to balance out the outfit. Marigold is one of my favorite colors to wear during Fall so I immediately snagged this peplum sweater for Brielle when I saw it. Nordstrom also has an amazing Kids shoe section! I mean, how cute are these fringe boots on Brielle?! I also love that they have a thicker lining so they also keep her feet warm. I wish they came in my size! Of course, the girls are also obsessed with their cozy Ugg boots every Fall/Winter (like mother like daughters lol). Brynleigh loves them because she can put them on easily by herself without asking for any help. I invested in this grey pair for both of the girls this year because they’re adorable and I know they will get SO much wear out of them! All of our outfit details from Nordstrom are listed below! XO
