Happy Monday, Babes! Lately I’ve been getting SO many dms and questions about my makeup so I thought I’d share another beauty post with you! One of my most asked makeup questions is which eyeshadow colors do I use? Typically during the day I like to do my version of a “natural Smokey eye” and I’ve been using the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to achieve this look. The colors in this palette are gorgeous and natural, perfect for everyday. All of the products I use for my everyday Smokey eye can be found at Nordstrom. The Beauty Specialists at Nordstrom are always so helpful so I love to stop by and stock up on all my favorite products when I’m in to pick up an order. It’s so convenient.
I also go to my certified Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow specialist about once a month at the Nordstrom here in Indy and she cleans up my brows and fills them in to perfection! This service is something I would highly recommend if your local Nordstrom offers it. Brows are SO important! After all, the brows are the windows to the face, lol. I use this eyebrow pencil to fill in my brows. I’ve listed the steps to achieve my everyday Smokey eye below! XO
Step 1. I prime my eyelids using the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. It has a tint to it so it covers up any veins or discoloration on my eyelids and provides a good base for my eyeshadow.
Step 2. I put the shade “Strange” all over my lid up to my crease.
Step 3. I blend the shade “Nooner” into my crease using a “window shield” wiper motion. It’s the perfect neutral transition shade!
Step 4. I dab a little of the shade “Factory” on the “outer v” or outside corners of my eyes and blend it inwards…this creates a smokey effect!
Step 5. I dab a little of the shade “Darkside”on the outer corner of my eye and blend it on top of “Factory”.
Step 6. I line the waterline and top lash line with black eyeliner. I love this one from Mac! I always use the blackest black shade.
Step 7. I apply this mascara to my top and bottom lashes. I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about it before because it’s amazing!! It’s hands down my favorite mascara right now!
Step 8. Lastly, I always set my makeup with this setting spray. This step is important and really makes my eye makeup stay all day.
