Yesterday my good friend Shelly and I decided to hit up our favorite lunch spot The Garden Table downtown and have a girls brunch. We always have so much fun together and I’m so thankful for her friendship. As a mom, sometimes it’s nice to just get in a little time with other moms. I also love the fact that you don’t have to get dressed up to go to brunch. I love to be comfy and there’s no need to dress over-the-top to hang out with your girlfriends over French toast and omelets. Throw on a simple pair of jeans and a tee with a cute jacket or a dress with flats or sandals and you’re good to go.
The weather is starting to warm up here in Indy but we still have plenty of chilly days ahead. I always love to invest in a few lightweight jackets this time of the year that will take me from winter into Spring. I bought this light weight cropped jacket last week online at Nordstrom and I’m so glad I did because I’m completely obsessed. You guys know I adore Nordstrom and I shop there SO much and their Spring selection is amazing right now. I’ve been stocking up on warmer weather basics for our entire family. I got so many dms about this jacket yesterday because I wore it on my IG story and you guys must have been loving it! I like that it’s a lighter shade of green and it doesn’t wrinkle easily. The brand Rails also makes amazing button-down shirts that I’ve loved for years but this is the first jacket I’ve purchased from the brand and I’m loving it! I’m wearing a size small but could have sized down to the xs.
I paired my jacket with this new pair of distressed relaxed fit Levi’s I’m also loving right now. These run a bit small in my opinion and they have zero stretch but they fit SO cute. I LOVE how high-waisted they are and they look adorable with a belt. I sized up one size in these because I wanted more of a relaxed fit.
I’m heading to Chicago this morning with the girls. We are meeting my friend Sarah and her boys and sister there and have a fun weekend planned.
